DescriptionWild Indigo plant, Baptisia tinctoria, is rare and alone amongst all the indigos is official. A medicinal species whose root is used in the Hoxsey anticancer formula. Produces yellow flowers followed by a decorative seedpod of a blue-black colour. Plant produces a blue dye. Wild Indigo plant is native to southern eastern and southern USA.
