DescriptionSaltbush plant, Atriplex nummularia, is commonly called Old Man Saltbush. A native fodder plant utilised in the inland semi-arid and arid regions of mainland Australia. This plant is very adaptable and can do well in moist soils and conditions. Can tolerate severe droughts and periodic flooding. Recovers well after severe defoliation. Saltbush plant prefers well-drained soil in a sunny position. Wind pollinated. Flowers occur throughout the year. Male and female flowers occur on seperate plants.Saltbush seed also available.
