Description These sterling silver studs are made with a double circle and inset gemstone. Handmade by artisans in Indonesia, they are made to a high standard and feature beautiful bright coloured amethyst stones. Amethyst is the birthstone for those born in February; and the Ancient Greeks believed it would prevent intoxication! Pachamama has been involved in fair trade since 1988 and knows all their producers personally, visiting them regularly. They always pay producers in advance and pay good prices, expecting high quality work in return. They also ensure good wages are paid to workers and that women are paid the same as men, as well as that the working conditions are suitable. Most of the workshops are small and family run, and they are all run directly by a silversmith.
