Description Family Solanaceae Originating from Brazil Semi-evergreen shrub or small tree with large, mid-green leaves. ‘Flower Dream’ produces enormous, pendulous, heavily-scented pure white double flowers. A three year old tree in tip-top condition can produce literally hundreds of flowers in cycles, especially as the days turn cooler in autumn. Brugmansias have a voracious appetite and should be fed at least weekly during the growing season – tomato food is ideal. Either grown in pots or in the ground, they must be lifted in autumn and stored in a frost free conservatory or greenhouse where they will continue flowering in cycles throughout the winter.
