Description Family Asteraceae Originating from eastern USA Starry, flamboyant, billowing carpets of sunbursts, are borne on fine and delicate mounds of dark herbaceous foliage all summer long. The precious, high impact floral display encapsulates the Mediterranean, and is ideal for rampaging around taller architectural plants or towards the front of herbaceous borders. Each petal of the pollinator magnet, daisy-like blooms has a deep, rusty burgundy/red base with a brilliant golden margin to its outer edge. They are borne at the tips of its slender stems above the grassy, soft dark green leaves. Undemanding in free draining non alkaline soil in full sun. Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 50cm x 1m.
