Description (syn. Callistemon citrinus ‘Mauve Mist’) Family Myrtaceae Originating from Australia Rich and lustrous, flamboyant and loud, this vigorously growing evergreen shrub has a deeply luxurious shade of pinky purple flowers, less brash than other more pinky bottlebrushes. Its oval, pointed, aromatic evergreen leaves emerge in a deep pink colour and mature to olive green making the perfect backdrop for its eruption of filamentous cylindrical flowers, loved by all pollinators. It can be pruned to keep it compact or allowed to grow into a large open, rangy habit. Perfect for coastal and Mediterranean style gardens, or in pots. Easy to grow in any soil in full sun. Height and spread after 5 – 10 years 2m x 2m.
