It is one of the many species of Philodendron that comes from tropic areas. It has large, dark green, toothed, shiny leaves. In Greece we use it as an indoor plant, as it needs light but indirectly. As it grows, it acquires a trunk that is covered by its leaves. It needs a humidity and not very low temperatures. It prefers rich and slightly alkaline soils with good drainage.
